Is it safe to have House Cleaners in your Home during the Pandemic?

There are so many questions regarding what is safe and what should be avoided during this pandemic. One of the constants is to keep things clean and disinfected. So the question that some people have is, “Is it safe to have my house cleaners in my home?” There is no guarantee that anyone coming into your home is Covid free, however, you need to weigh the pros and cons and ask several questions. First, determine whether or not you are able to keep your home clean and disinfected. It is a fact that it is essential to keep surfaces clean to help fight germs and viruses. If you are unable to do it yourself, then it is wise to hire a reputable service. Here are a few things to consider or ask regarding a cleaning service:

  1. Are special procedures and checks put in place and health monitored on everyone entering your home? What are those procedures and checks?

  2. Are cleaning tools and equipment disinfected between homes?

  3. Are the cloths and mops used in your home cleaned and disinfected before use?

  4. What types of cleaners and disinfectants are used? Are they approved by the EPA as being effective against Covid 19? Are the cleaners trained in using them properly?

  5. Are the cleaners equipped with masks and protective equipment and trained on how to use them properly?

  6. Have the cleaners or cleaning company provided you with information, procedures and policies established to adhere to CDC guidelines?

  7. Are the cleaners and cleaning company adhering to social distancing measures? They should be requesting that you are in a separate area of the home while they are there.

  8. Are you monitoring your health before allowing someone in your home?

  9. Does your cleaning service offer a fogging service to kill the virus in areas that may be hard to reach?

The Washington Post noted: Like everyone else, Anthony S. Fauci has to balance coronavirus risks in his everyday life. But while he may not be eating in restaurants, Fauci is having his house professionally cleaned, he told The Washington Post in July.

The only person who comes into the house besides [my wife], Christine, and me is the woman who cleans the house once every two weeks,” said Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. “She wears a mask and gloves at all times while in the house.”

Though everyone has to decide for themselves what is wise and how best to protect themselves and their families, one thing is evident and that is that we need to keep our environment as clean as possible. We here at Prescott Maid to Order are here to help you with this goal.

Fall Allergies – Can Your Home Be Making You Sick?

As the weather starts to turn colder and the leaves begin to fall, we start closing up our homes to keep the cold out and the heat in.  Many people start to notice allergies flaring up in the fall due to various allergens in the air such as ragweed and mold spores.  Often what feels like a “change of season” cold is actually allergies that present themselves with the same symptoms as the common cold.  These symptoms include but are not limited to cough, itchy eyes, sore throat, sneezing and just overall yuckiness.

In addition to the outside causes of allergies, there are inside culprits as well.  The American Academy of Allergy and Immunology (AAAA&I) talks about these inside allergens in an article on their website www.aaaai.org.  Some of these are dust mite droppings, animal dander, mold and cockroach droppings:
Dust mites can be found in bedding, carpeting and upholstery.  Keep these areas vacuumed and cleaned regularly.  Bedding should be washed and dried often and if possible, replace wall to wall carpeting with hard flooring and use rugs that can be washed or cleaned often.

Contrary to popular belief, most people are not allergic to animal hair.  It is more often the “dander” or dried skin flakes, saliva and pet urine that cause the trouble.  Even the breeds that are thought to be “hypo-allergenic” can still create a problem for allergy sufferers.  As in the case of dust mites, it is essential for your home to be vacuumed, cleaned and sanitized often to minimize the symptoms of these allergies.

Mold is one of the most common issues when it comes to allergies within your home.  We close up the windows to keep things nice and warm and the mold just thrives in a warm moist environment.  Some areas that may be harboring the mold spores are inside bath toys, in washing machine seals, showers and shower door railings, drain pans under the fridge, fridge seals, sponge holders in the sink and so many more places that you may not even think about.  These areas should be inspected and cleaned regularly.

Though cockroaches are associated with big cities and dirty areas, they can actually be found anywhere. Make sure floors are cleaned and pet food is not left out.  Seal up any cracks and crevices where they may be able to enter. Clean under stoves, refrigerators, toasters, microwaves and toaster ovens where crumbs can accumulate.  Clean stove tops, counters, kitchen surfaces and cabinets regularly.

We look forward to the cozy holiday season and enjoy the warm comfort of our homes.  It is imperative to our health to make sure that the areas we spend our time in are clean and free of these allergy culprits so that we can enjoy the upcoming season.

Housecleaning 101

When I visit a home to find out how we can help someone with their cleaning needs, I will usually ask “how can we help you?”.  I may need to change my approach because often the response is “Well….I want my house cleaned”.  As simple and obvious as it may sound, there are actually a lot of variations of types of cleanings, types of houses, types of people and their specific needs.  For example, a single gentleman living alone, no pets, may want the very basics and with little frequency.  “Just do my floors and clean the bathrooms”.  My next visit may be someone who wants a very detailed cleaning, more often and with lots of instructions. Some may not even know what they are looking for, but just know they need HELP.

We have to take into consideration that some people may LIKE or WANT to do certain things, like dusting their prize collection of knick knacks, figurines, glass vases or statues.  It’s important that a cleaning crew knows the specific needs and wants of each individual person we serve.  Specific instruction as to how they want a surface or room cleaned is valuable. The customer should feel confident that there will not be damage and that the surface, such as a high quality wood floor or a special type of kitchen counter is being properly cleaned and treated with care. This is their home, it’s personal.  Very few services out there are as personal as someone coming into your home, on a regular basis, being around your children, pets and touching your stuff.

Giving up a job such as house cleaning is sometimes difficult to someone who has taken pride for many years in the work they have done themselves to make their house a home.  It’s uncomfortable to admit to someone or themselves that they need a little help, unlike all the years before. With that in mind, a cleaning crew needs to be aware and place importance on the requests and desires of the customer.
So, what are the basics?  A good cleaning of the bathrooms including toilets, counters, sinks, showers, tubs, glass doors, mirrors, light fixtures and floors. In the kitchen, all the outside surfaces, counters, sinks, outside of appliances, stove top, and inside the microwave. In the living areas and bedrooms of the house, dusting of the furniture and cleaning the floors.

How about the deeper stuff? Along with all of the above, someone may want all the fans cleaned, the baseboards scrubbed, the light fixtures cleaned and shined, the cabinets oiled, the blinds cleaned, the inside of the oven and the refrigerator cleaned, the pot shelves dusted.  How about the tops of those kitchen cabinets!

Regardless of the depth and instruction of the particular job, the company that does that job needs to understand the customer, understand the instructions, genuinely care about the home they are going in to and take pride in the work they do.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Summer!

Enjoy Your "Happy" Summer

We'd like to invite you to “Enjoy every day this summer and leave the cleaning to us”.  As the weather turns warmer and we come into “vacation season”, I automatically feel happier.  People are out and about and enjoying our beautiful area.  It is a time when kids are out of school, family often comes to visit or you take that much anticipated vacation.

Here at our company, we encourage our friends and community to enjoy their season and let the professionals take some of the tasks that they normally do, off their list and lift a weight off their shoulders.  We encourage our employees to be happy and we strive to make our clients happy as well.

I recently came across this list whose author I am not aware of, but is worth passing along:

TEN THINGS HAPPY PEOPLE DON’T DO
  1. They don’t worry a lot about what other people think.
  2. The don’t waste time doing things they dislike
  3. They don’t try to manipulate or change other people
  4. They don’t get stuck in the past
  5. They don’t obsess over what MIGHT happen in the future
  6. They don’t strive to achieve absolute perfection
  7. They don’t forget to be thankful
  8. They don’t value material possessions over experiences
  9. They don’t seek fulfillment in the wrong places
  10. They don’t stay in a negative situation long

Why would I include this list in an article about cleaning?  Because many people I run into feel “guilty” if they do something for themselves or accept help.  They may worry about what other people think if they seek help.  They get “stuck” (like in number 4 on the list) not knowing where to start on a project or a move.  It sometimes seems overwhelming when there is a life change like a move or a house sale.  A recent client called when her Aunt had passed and it was now her responsibility to get the house ready to sell.  This was almost more that she was able to comprehend completing because of the condition that the house was in.  After an initial day of cleaning and professional carpet cleaning, she tearfully thanked us for taking some of this huge task off her plate.  What a great feeling to provide a service that contributed to someone's happiness today!

Keeping Home and Pets Safe During Monsoon Season

We anxiously await the rain that our area so desperately needs, but as thankful as we may be for the
moisture, we quickly realize that there are concerns during this time of the year. Mold and
mildew can create health issues and the additional dirt, debris and germs that enter our homes
can cause us trouble down the line. Here are a few tips to help us a stay safe and healthy this
summer monsoon season.

Wash your hands regularly - Additional germs and allergens are growing during this time of the
year. We bring them in on our hands and feet and on our clothing. Don’t allow wet or damp
clothing to set in a hamper, wash and dry it immediately to avoid mildew and germs. Shoes are
bound to get wet. Clean footwear regularly and make sure shoes are completely dry before
wearing again. Use antibacterial foot powder.

Keep kitchens and bathrooms clean. Check in areas that sometimes don’t get cleaned every
time, like high corners above the shower, behind and under things, window tracks and sills.
These are all areas that can collect mildew, dirt and germs.

Keep windows closed when you leave the house. As you know, it may be sunny one minute
and a cloud burst the next. Water entering through an open window can damage sills, walls,
curtains, furniture and floors. Open windows again when you are home and it is not raining.
Your home needs as much fresh air ventilation as possible.

Make sure to use area rugs on the interior and exterior side of each door to the outside. Leave
soiled shoes in a shoe rack instead of walking around the house and spreading the dirt and
germs.

Remove any containers or buckets outside that may collect rainwater. Once the rain stops and
the sun comes out, that standing water is a place for mosquitos and other pests to gather and
breed. Keep pets clean and teach them to wipe their paws on the rug outside (yes, they can
learn that), or you can wipe their feet.

Keep furniture clean and dry and disinfect all hard surfaces often. Outside of appliances, walls,
fixtures, door handles, ceiling fans can all collect dirt and germs.

Make sure your pets are safe during the thunderstorms. Many normally well behaved pets
totally “lose it” during the storms and will dart out of the door, or over a fence. Some people
have had success with the “Thunder shirts” that can be purchased at most pet stores. If you
don’t have one of those, and your dog or cat is sensitive to the sounds of thunder, place a crate
with a comfortable blanket, one of your t-shirts and a toy inside, in an interior bathroom or closet
with a little radio or music playing. You can cover the crate with a sheet. The crate serves as a
“den” which is a natural comfort for most dogs and cats and is a safe place for them until the
storm subsides. Micro chip your pets so that if they do get separated from you, they will have a
better chance of returning home safely.

After the monsoon season, it is a perfect time to get windows, tracks and sills professionally
cleaned and carpeting and draperies professionally cleaned to prepare for the winter and to
avoid the continued growth of mold and mildew.

Have a great summer and be safe and healthy.

Finding A Star in a Home Service Provider

house cleaning, move out, Prescott Maid to Order

With such a huge array of choices these days of home service providers,  how does one choose the right company for the the job, a “Star” of sorts in the industry that they represent?  Of course it depends on the type of work that needs to be done, however, many of the same important factors will apply.

When searching for the right company:  *Make sure to check the companies reputation online.  Choose sites that you trust such as Yelp, BBB, Home Advisor and even Facebook reviews.  Take a look at how they rate compared to other companies within the same field.

-Check for licensing, bonding and insurance.  If someone is coming into your home for any type of work, you should make sure that they are qualified and carry the appropriate licensing and insurance for the job.

-Is the company a member of trusted organizations in the community?  A good sign of a reputable company is its involvement in the community and in the organizations that require a level of professionalism and accountability.  Some of these types of organizations may be the local Chamber of Commerce, trade organizations, community groups, local and national charitable organizations etc.

-Does the company in question have policies, procedures and training for its employees and personnel? If so, you will more likely receive consistent, quality work across the board and be assured that the best practices are being applied to the job.

-How long has the company been in business? Longevity often provides stability and offers a sense professionalism.  It allows a company to build a reputation within the community and allows a potential customer the ability to research the history of that company.

-Ask a friend.  Referrals are often an excellent source of information when seeking a qualified service provider.  You can ask them questions about their experience and depending on the type of service, you may even be able to see the work in question.

-Get a written estimate before work begins.  Avoid estimates over the phone and promises without real information.  Most services done in and for your home will require an in person walk through.  Make sure that the company is thorough in their walk through and seems knowledgeable about their area of expertise.

Most importantly, you must feel comfortable with those you will be hiring to do work in and around your home.  Meet the person who will be your main contact if possible.  Make sure that they are a Star in their field.  Here at Prescott Maid to Order, we offer Stars every day for every job

Cleaning During and After this Pandemic

Disinfecting, deep clean
Covid-19 has changed our lives, our livelihoods and our businesses.  It is essential that our community does everything in it's power to minimize the spread.  Steps need to be taken on an individual, company wide, and community wide basis to protect ourselves, our families and the public.

We have heard over and over that keeping our hands and our environment clean is a top priority AND to keep our distance from other people.  We here at Prescott Maid to Order are proactively and strategically, planning and training so that we can be here to assist our clients both residential and commercial in cleaning and disinfecting their environment.

We are in prevention mode, working with our businesses, schools, offices and residential clients to clean and kill the virus on surfaces and keeping those surfaces sanitized.  This takes careful planning and training of all of our management and employees.  Steps are in place to make sure we practice social distancing and minimize any contact with our clients.  Training is in place to make sure that every area that needs to be addressed is carefully and thoroughly cleaned and executed while also protecting the health of our employees.

Soon, hopefully, the virus will subside and we will be in clean up mode.  During this phase, we will be working with businesses, industry, schools and our residential clients to get things cleaned up and ready to bring employees back in and get homes cleaned up after the quarantine period.

We are here and available to do what it takes to keep your home an business clean and sanitized during and after this pandemic.

SHOW THE LOVE – to your home this Valentines Day

So here it is, the month of love.  This Valentines Day month is a good time to show a little love to your home without breaking the budget.  I’m not talking about a renovation project, but rather, lots of little things that you can do to spruce up and “show the love” to your home.  Some of the simplest tasks can make a huge difference in the look and feel in your home and it doesn’t have to be expensive.  Here are a few to consider:

Replace some area rugs, curtains or shower curtain.  It’s easy to change the feel of a room just by changing the color scheme or adding to it.  Change out a rooms curtains or rugs and add in a color or style that is new and fresh.

Use a little scratch cover up or good quality wood oil with appropriate color in it to give your wood furniture a face lift.  Sometimes I forget what a difference it can make

Pay attention to the details like baseboards, window tracks and door frames. Scrub the baseboards and paint if needed.  Clean out the window tracks and clean all the tops and edges of the door frames.

Has it been years since you put those knick knacks up high on the pot shelves?  Maybe it’s time they come down, the pot shelf gets cleaned and new, then clean and updated décor goes up.

Add a little life to your house.  It won’t be long until you can start to plant some outdoor plants but you can plant indoors any time.  Bring in some flowers, fresh cut or potted.  There are particular benefits to having indoor plants and flowers beyond the obvious, including:
Reducing carbon dioxide levels, increasing humidity, reducing levels of certain pollutants, such as benzene and nitrogen dioxide, reducing airborne dust levels, keeping air temperatures down.

Add some new art, change it up, expand your style.  It feels good and different and fresh. For that matter, change up the whole theme if you can.  Without having to renovate, knock out walls or change flooring, a simple change like changing the art style in your house can give it a completely different feel.

Change filters and clean vents.  Filters should be changed out several times during the year.  Pollutants and dust particles collect and get blown back into your environment.  A dusty dirty vent gives an impression of lack of care.

LOVE your home this Valentines Day, show it you care.  Do the little extras and enjoy the new year with a fresh, new, clean perspective.

Prescott Maid to Order talks about regular window cleaning for your Prescott home

Prescott Maid to Order can keep the windows of your Prescott home sparkling clean with regular window cleaning.
How long has it been since the windows at your Prescott home were cleaned? Prescott Maid to Order recommends having your windows professionally cleaned on a regular basis.

First impressions
Whether you're a homeowner or a business owner, the first impression people have of your property matters. Are they going to be met with a lackluster, dirty exterior or are your windows bright and inviting? One will give the impression that you care about what they see and the other won't.

The view
Dust and rain are not the only offenders of your clean windows. If you have a furry friend in your home, especially a window-sill height dog, you will need your windows cleaned often because your pooch’s drool - or worse - fogging up the beautiful views.

Window degradation
Glass is, on a microscopic level, porous. Without regular cleaning, your windows will be affected by dirt, debris and contamination over time, especially from:

  • Mineral water
  • Acid rain
  • Oxidation
  • Over spray from paint, sprinklers, etc.

Energy efficiency
Dirty windows can reduce heat efficiency by reducing incoming light, leaving your house both darker and colder.

Recommendations for homeowners:
Prescott Maid to Order recommends having your exterior windows cleaned at least twice a year and having the interior windows cleaned annually... but for homeowners with runny-nosed dogs, more often. Of course, our window cleaning services include screens and sills.

Whether your property is a small or large job or has multiple window styles, Prescott Maid to Order would love to provide you with a free estimate. Often times it's not until the windows have been cleaned that  owners realized just how dirty they were. If you want to maintain the value and appeal of your home, why not leave the window cleaning to the experts? Prescott Maid to Order has the time, knowledge, equipment and expertise to keep your windows beautifully clean. For a free estimate call us today at 928-899-8518 or visit us at http://www.prescottmaidtoorder.com.

Healthier home
Say goodbye to those pesky germs with a cleaning service that can sanitize places you don’t dare go. The less germs there are in a house, the healthier the inhabitants are. Plus, even if you think you’re cleaning everything, chances are you forgot about ceiling fans and window sills. A cleaning service can find hiding bacteria, letting you breathe easier in a safe home.

A cleaning service is more than just a convenience: it’s a life changer! Don’t spend your weekends slaving over laundry. Since your guests will notice this area first, keeping the foyer clean will guarantee your home makes the best first impression.

2. Concentrate on the kitchen - At some point, everyone heads to the kitchen and in many homes, despite other beautiful rooms, people still seem to gather there. Home is where the food is so be sure your kitchen is appetizing by looking and smelling beautiful. Fine tune your cleaning by dusting light fixtures and flushing drains with boiling hot water.

3. The powder room - Scrub it till it shines. Period.

4. Creating a pleasing aroma around the house - A freshly brewed pot of delicious coffee or a smattering of cinnamon can go a long way to giving your home an inviting aroma.

5. Treat your garbage disposal with some love - Help cut down on unpleasant odors, simply chop a whole lemon, including the rind, and feed it to your disposal. Hint: Toss in a few ice cubes to help sharpen the blades.

6. Keep it simple and consider one soap for all your needs - Castile soap can be used as a laundry detergent, floor cleaner and even a shampoo.

7. Seeing things clearly - Keep your windows sparkling clean with an affordable and quick mixture of vinegar, water and a simple spray bottle. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe down your windows leaving them streak-free.

8. Holiday cooking cleanups -
No matter how meticulous you are, stove tops and ovens can't help but get dirty. Make a simple cleaning solution of baking soda and water to scrub off baked-on goo.

If your guests are on their way, or if you're planning a holiday party, we can help get you ready. Call us today for a free estimate at 928-899-8518. Prescott Maid to Order discusses what to clean before you move into your new Prescott home

Get your new house cleaned before moving in, contact Prescott Maid to Order.
It is always fun to move into a new house or apartment. But before you get started on the fun parts of moving to a new place, you’ll need to take care of business. Prescott Maid to Order discusses some cleaning tasks you should tackle before moving into your new Prescott home.

Whether you’re renting or buying, move in cleaning (or pre-move in cleaning, if you have a window of time to manage it) is a necessity. Those who lived there before you, no matter how well-intentioned, inevitably left behind some dirt, grime, and dust that you’ll want to take care of before you settle in. Here are some tips:

Clean the fridge first. If you are moving in after someone has moved out, there are some things you can put off while you get everything cleaned. The place you store your perishable food isn’t one of them. Before doing anything else, sanitize your new fridge. Because it’s clear of any food, it shouldn’t take more than a half-hour. Take out the shelves and drawers. Clean them with soap and warm water. For the inside of the fridge, make a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar. Use a clean cloth to scrub down all surfaces. Make sure shelves are completely dry, and then return them to the fridge. Repeat these steps with the freezer.

Clean high before you clean low
. Dust isn’t limited to countertops and floors. Overhead lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, shelving, and other features close to the ceiling are just as prone to getting grimy, but they don’t get cleaned as often. Since cleaning these high up features will lead to the area below them getting sprinkled with the dust, start at the top and then work your way down in every room.

Bathroom cleaning. Bathroom cleaning is as much about disinfecting as it is about cleaning. Use a good dish soap and a sponge for the initial scrub down. Follow with an antibacterial spray to get rid of any lingering germs.

Prescott Maid to Order hopes this discussion of what to clean before you move into your new home has been helpful to you. Prescott Maid to Order can not only clean your Prescott home but free up your time and energy to get other things done in the meantime. If you would like to schedule a one-time cleaning service, please call us today at 928-899-8518 or visit us at http://www.prescottmaidtoorder.com.

Prescott Maid to Order gives fall cleaning tips for your Prescott home

Prescott Maid to Order can get your Prescott home clean and ready for the holidays with one-time or regular home cleaning services.
Fall is almost here! You’ll want to take advantage of these cooler weekends to get your Prescott home clean and ready for winter. Prescott Maid to Order offers a few suggestions to help you transition into the colder weather.

Clean the whole house

Clean each room from top to bottom. Dust everything: walls, ceilings, baseboards, ceiling fans, blinds, etc. It's not unusual for dust to collect throughout the summer. Use a vacuum to remove the dust from fabrics like the drapes and upholstery.

Warm up the beds
Newer mattresses generally don't get flipped over but they should be rotated every season. Take out your heavier winter bed linens, blankets and comforters and give them a wash and dry to make them like new again. Cool fall nights in a wonderful, freshly cleaned, warm winter bed are the best!

Organize the closets
Now's a great time to go through all the closets to reduce, reuse, and recycle clothes and shoes that no longer fit, and donate those out of style accessories to a good cause. If you don't have room to exchange your summer clothes for warm winter ones, then rearrange your closet with the summer clothes to one side so that they're not in the way. And while you're in the closet look around for other space-robbing items that could be better used by someone else.

Wash the windows
We love clean windows. If the dust, rain, and that mysterious film are hindering your view, go through the entire house and wash all the windows – inside and out. You'll want to get this done before the winter weather makes it difficult. Don't forget to wash the screens while you're at it.

Get the kitchen ready for guests
No family making a big Thanksgiving dinner can keep people out of the kitchen. One of the joys of fall holidays are the guests we entertain. Be ready to relax by getting the hard work done first. Thoroughly deep clean all of the appliances including the small countertop appliances. Don't forget to neatly organize your dish, food, and pots and pans cabinets and drawers so that you can effortlessly find everything you want and need.

Keep the air healthy
Cold weather means closed windows, so consider using VOC-free or low-VOC cleaners to protect you and your family. The EPA says that indoor environments are two to five times more polluted than the air outside. If you can open your windows during the warmest part of the day, you should.

Are you already busy with other things including back to school events and holiday planning? If you want a pristine home for your family and friends but don't have time to clean, call Prescott Maid to Order to arrange a free consultation. Prescott Maid to Order shares back-to-school cleaning tips for your Prescott home

Prescott Maid to Order offers back to school cleaning tips and cleaning services for your Prescott home.
Before you know it, your kids will be starting back to school, and that means it's a great time to get your Prescott home in tip-top shape. Before you start, Prescott Maid to Order would like to share some simple cleaning tips and solutions that will give your home an A+ grade.

Soak it first
Who needs elbow grease when a little bit of time, water, dish soap and lemon juice will work? Soak your dishes for just 30 minutes before you load them into your dishwasher.

Have fun
Cleaning doesn't need to be miserable. Pull down the blinds, put on the music and dance like you have no neighbors. Before you realize it, your house will be beautiful and you may have burned a few calories in the process.

Have a closet for the kids’ school gear
We all know the moment the kids get home from school, the backpacks, coats, and shoes go flying. Having a specific place for them to toss their gear will help keep your home neat and tidy every day.

Clean out the fridge weekly
Keep your fridge up to date and ready for school lunches. Go through your fridge once a week to clean out what didn't make it, and save yourself extra trips to the grocery store by making a list of what you need to replace.

Get the equipment you'll use
If you don't vacuum or mop regularly because they are too heavy or ineffective, replace them with products you will use. Smart companies are introducing innovative designs all the time.

Dust is not your friend
If it has an air filter, clean it or replace it. Replace every air filter whether it's in a furnace, a vacuum, an air purifier, or a wall-mounted mini-split. Clean air filters mean cleaner air which can reduce allergies and help keep your family healthy.

Use microfiber cloths

Microfiber cloths collect more dust and leave surfaces cleaner longer. By holding more dust, they keep it from going into the air and settling back onto your finished work.

These are just a few simple ways to get your Prescott home sparkling clean while your kids are busy at school. But if you can think of other things you'd much rather be doing, give Prescott Maid to Order a call today at 928-899-8518 to get a quote or schedule an appointment. We can customize a cleaning schedule to fit your needs. Learn more about us at http://www.prescottmaidtoorder.com.

Prescott Maid to Order offers tips for keeping your Prescott home clean this summer

Prescott Maid to Order can help keep your Prescott home clean this summer
We welcome summer with open arms, however, even with the blue skies and endless outdoor activities, we’re reminded there are some unique cleaning challenges that summer brings: melted ice cream, spilled sodas, and the stuff from outdoors being tracked indoors. Prescott Maid to Order offers you these tips for keeping your Prescott home clean in the summer:

Let’s start in the kitchen. Trash can become a smelly problem with food waste sitting in a warm garbage can. Consider giving the garbage can a good scrubbing. Let it dry completely and air out before installing a new garbage bag.

What’s in the pantry? Now’s a great time to go through the pantry and organize what you have. Check for expiration dates and rotate the most requested items to the front of the shelves. Check for crumbs...articles that may have spilled out can become a food source for unwanted pests.

On to the bathroom. Dampness after a shower or bath creates an environment for mold to grow, so remind your family to leave a window open or turn on a bathroom fan. Let damp towels and swimsuits dry completely before putting them in a laundry hamper.

Which leads us to the laundry room. First, clear the clutter. Washers and dryers tend to catch all the things that aren’t put away immediately. Remove items that will get in the way of your laundry sorting and folding routines. Leave yourself space for all those items you may need to pre-treat before washing.

Out to the patio.
The deck furniture has become dirty and dusty over the winter months, and maybe you have bird feeders that add to the need for cleaning. You’ll be glad you took the time to sweep your deck and brush off any patio furniture when unexpected guests drop by.

We want you to enjoy your summer activities, and it’s much more enjoyable to return to a clean home. Give yourself a vacation from house cleaning by having a professional cleaning service do the cleaning for you. See for yourself why Prescott Maid to Order is the Quad Cities #1 cleaning service since 2005. Call for a free estimate for your Prescott home cleaning at 928-899-8518 and let us customize a home cleaning that fits your needs and your budget. Prescott Maid to Order Suggests Giving Mom the Gift of a Clean House

Give the Mother's Day gift of a clean house in Prescott with Prescott Maid to Order
It’s less than a month away - the day we all stop and show our appreciation to Mom. Mom is a superstar - so what can you get her this year that’s really special? That diamond bracelet she always stops and looks at when she walks by the jewelers is out of the question. How often have you heard mom say, “I’d love to but I have to clean the house.”  Wow, what a great idea, Prescott Maid to Order says, why not give mom the gift of a clean house?

As good as the idea sounds, most families don’t have the time, or the inclination, to clean house, even if it’s Mother’s Day. The good news is that Prescott Maid to Order can clean your house completely, quickly and for not much more than the cost of a dozen red roses. When you hire us to clean the house, here are just a few of the things that mom will really appreciate:

Attention to detail - We don’t just run a duster over the shelf, we move the knick knacks and dust the entire shelf, then dust the knick knacks and put them back on the shelf. We clean the bathrooms, including the floors, fixtures and mirrors. In the kitchen we clean all the counters, plus the stove and microwave.

Flexible scheduling - We will work with you to schedule the cleaning when it is convenient for you. And you will be surprised at how quickly our team will have your home clean from one end to the other.

Personalized cleaning - We work with you to find out what you want cleaned. We can do basic house cleaning, windows, carpets or other cleaning task based on your preferences. One of our employees will come to your home and walk through each area with you to determine the services you desire, from cleaning everything including the kitchen sink, to just basic dusting and vacuuming on a regular basis, or maybe only when you call. We can do a one time cleaning, monthly, bi-monthly or whatever works for you.

Experience - Our staff is trained to use the proper cleaning products on each area in your home. We know where dirt hides and remove it. We also know how to work as a team to make the cleaning very efficient.

Honest -
We are licensed and insured. All of our cleaners are bonded. We will make an appointment for the cleaning and we will show up on time.

Don’t know what Mom would want cleaned? Prescott Maid to Order also has gift certificates available. That way Mom can choose what she wants cleaned and when. And Mom will definitely appreciate your Mother’s Day gift of having the entire house clean all at once, without having to do it herself. To schedule an appointment, to get a quote or to purchase a gift certificate, just give us a call at 928-899-8518. Learn more about the cleaning services we offer at http://prescottmaidtoorder.com.
